Event Rescheduled to Monday!

Due to tomorrow's weather forecast, we are rescheduling the Lufkin Park Ribbon Cutting Ceremony to Monday, August 19 at 5:00 PM. 

The DJ and activities will still begin at 4:00 PM, so feel free to arrive early and enjoy the festivities. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.

We hope you can join us on this new date to celebrate the redevelopment of Lufkin Park and explore its exciting new features on a beautiful day.

The revamped Lufkin Park features a variety of new amenities designed for enjoyment and exploration:

• Nature Walking Trail: A scenic pathway for leisurely strolls and exploration.  
• Playground with Nature Theme: A new playground inspired by natural elements to engage and inspire children including a sensory garden.
   
• Observation Pier: A unique spot offering a tranquil experience on the water surrounded by native plants.
  
  
• Performance Area: A dedicated space for outdoor performances and community events.
  
  
• Water Spray Area (Splash Pad): A fun, interactive water play area for children to enjoy.
  
  
• Obstacle Course: An adventurous play structure and obstacle course for kids seeking a physical challenge.
  
  
• Bathroom Facilities with Picnic Shelter Overhang: Convenient restrooms and a covered area for picnics and gatherings.

This grand reopening event marks the culmination of a significant renovation project, and we’re excited to offer the community an opportunity to experience the new features firsthand.
