Villa Park Historical Society Ice Cream Social Who doesn't love ice cream on a hot summer day? Stop by the Villa Park Historical Museum on Wednesday, July 3 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m for ice cream, a T-Trak N-Scale Model Train Exhibit and a performance by Chicagoland's Wackiest Party DJ, DJ Matty K!

Windy City Curling Ribbon Cutting and Grand Opening Turn your favorite Olympic sport into your new favorite hobby at Windy City Curling. They celebrated their ribbon cutting and grand opening on June 20. This new curling facility will offer our community a chance to learn more about the sport, join a league or plan your next group outing.

Upcoming Villa Park Public Library programs and activities The library has a variety of activities and programs for all ages over the next month, including the following (more program details and registration information can be found on the Villa Park Public Library for each of these programs):
- Family Storytime at the Gazebo: Tues, July 9, 10:15-10:45 a.m. Join us for stories, music and movement for famillies with young children of all ages. Children under 3 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
- MSI Science Minors: Thurs, July 11, 2:30-3:45 p.m.. The Depot at Cortesi Park. Welcome back to an all new MSI Science Minors! This summer, we'll take a fantastic voyage through the human body.
- Starship Shenanigans: Mon, July 15, 2:00-3:15 p.m. Community Recreation Building. Do you dream of making out-of-this-world crafts and turning a solar flare into astro flair? Join us and build your own UFO! Create a ring of planets! Have a good time celebrating space with a twist.
- Reptiles with Cosley Zoo Fri, July 26, 1:00-1:45 p.m. Scaly, slithery, slimy, scary...and SWEET? Reptiles are sometimes called all of these things. Meet some real-life reptiles, and sort out truth from fiction about these amazing creatures.

VFW hosting annual July 4th Parade Celebrate Independence Day with the rest of the community at the annual July 4th Parade hosted by the VFW Post 2801. Line up along the parade route and watch as the floats go by with the whole family!

Summerfest 2019 Recap Another Summerfest is in the books! Thank you to everyone for coming out to this family-friendly community event. Although the weather was not exactly summery, we made the best of it with great music, a car show, bags tournament, food and more!

June VP Pup of the Month Bentley has spent his summer days taking car rides to his favorite place, Dunkin Donuts. He loves spending time with his family as they grab a delicious drink in the sunshine. This 3-year-old rescue Papillon had the winning photo in our June VP Pup of the Month photo contest on our Facebook page. Congratulations to Bentley and his owner, Alyssa Roberts Spencer.
