Door-to-Door Solicitors

Within the Village of Villa Park, officers will enforce Village Code Section 20.101 - 20.108. View the full code here.
Anyone soliciting within the limits of Villa Park must be carrying a certificate of registration, clearly displayed on his or her person. If you have someone come to your door soliciting business, and they do not have a solicitor's license, call the non-emergency dispatch at 630-834-7447 and ask to have an officer dispatched.

It shall be unlawful for any person, whether licensed or unlicensed, while conducting the business of a canvasser or solicitor, to enter upon any residential premises in the village where the owner, occupant, or person legally in charge of the premises has posted, at the entry to the premises, or at the entry to the principal building on the premises, a sign bearing the words "No Solicitors or Canvassers" or similar words. Please call the non-emergency dispatch to report instances of this.

Kiwanis Concerts in the Park

The concession stand opens at 6 PM selling hamburgers, hot dogs, brats, popcorn, soft drinks and more.

• JULY 7 ETHAN BELL BAND The Ethan Bell Band, a Nashville based group of musicians keeps audiences captivated with their mashups of pop, hip hop and country songs. Their performances include flashy stage move dancing and storytelling through their romantic ballads of well-known songs.

• JULY 14 EVIL BURRITO Evil Burrito is a Rock & Roll cover band formed in 2010. They bring the best power pop songs that have strong guitars, male and female vocals and a thick rhythm section to get our audience up and dancing. Their mission at every show is to have an audience walking away saying, “those guys played all of our favorite songs and I can’t wait to see them again!”

• JULY 21 ST. JOHN’S LOMBARD PRAISE TEAM This group is returning to perform a variety of music including some much-loved popular hits.

• JULY 28 RICK LINDY & THE WILD ONES Performing juke box hits of the legends of rock and roll from the 50s and 60s, Elvis, Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, Jerry Lee Lewis and many more.

Yoga in the Park

Yoga in the Park are Wednesdays at 7 p.m. at Cortesi Park.

There are so many benefits of yoga- whether you're looking for a form of exercise that won’t make you hurt the next day, needing to work on balance and flexibility, or if you’re a conditioned athlete wishing to balance your current workout routine. Join certified instructor Kimberly LaBounty for a Vinyasa Flow class. Kimberly teaches to all levels and will adapt accordingly. Bring some water and your yoga mat.

Former Human Resource and Risk Manager Janet Gorman, spent the last 30 years providing incredible service to the Village of Villa Park. During her time at the Village she has developed Affordable Care Act initiatives, employee health and wellness programs, talent acquisition, on-boarding and contract preparation for hourly and salaried employees. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she created a Risk Plan to meet State and Federal guidelines to protect essential workers and the general public. Thank you for your time and energy spent making Villa Park a better place.
