COVID-19 Vaccine

There are many action steps you can be taking while you wait for your opportunity for a COVID-19 vaccine.

  • Contact your primary care provider or local retail pharmacy to check for availability.
  • The State of Illinois has created a vaccine locator map with all the approved vaccine providers here.
  • Take the first available appointment at whichever location you can.
  • Know the demand far exceeds supply currently and it may take several weeks to get an appointment.
Do not get discouraged; initial vaccine supplies are limited.

Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over

With St. Patrick’s Day just around the corner, The Villa Park Department is reminding motorists to plan ahead for a sober ride home to keep celebrations from turning deadly.

“We understand people are looking for a reason to celebrate, but we urge you to do so safely,” said Sgt. James Cihak. “While festivities may look different this year, the basics remain the same: If you’ll be drinking or using cannabis or another impairing substance, make the right choice to find a sober driver to get you and your friends home safely.”

In addition to patrolling for alcohol- and drug-impaired drivers, the Villa Park Police Department will be stepping up seat belt enforcement, particularly at night when seat belt usage rates are lowest. Speed limits and distracted driving laws will also be strictly enforced.

Metra Safe Return to Work Summit

Join Metra Staff to hear from industry experts on workplace best practices as we navigate concerns related to COVID-19.

Over the last year, COVID-19 has had an impact on the City of Chicago, with the loss of tax dollars, jobs and sales for local businesses. This event will educate Chicago business executives on how to welcome back employees onsite and get the community moving again safely.
