** The Village appreciates the public's patience and cooperation during these very trying times as communities across the globe attempt to practice social distancing to reduce the spread of COVID-19. The Village remains committed to a transparent and open government. Participation in these meetings is encouraged in any of the following ways:


1 - Email your questions to Village Manager Keehner in advance of the meeting at rkeehnerjr@invillapark.com. Manager Keehner will read the comments into the public record at the appropriate time.

2 - Watch the meeting live on YouTube by following the Village of Villa Park or on the Government Access Channel (Comcast Channel 6, and AT&T Channel 99).

3 - If members of the public are interested in attending in person, and are symptom free, social distancing will be utilized to mitigate the community spread of disease.


Executive Order 2020 10: Stay at Home 

On March 31, during his daily press conference, Illinois Governor JB Pritzker announced that Executive Order 2020 10, which orders all individuals currently living within the State of Illinois to stay home or at their place of residence except for essential businesses and operations, will remain in effect until April 30, 2020.

  • NOTE: Outdoor activity is included as an essential activity. However, residents are reminded to maintain social distancing practices while running/biking/walking in public areas such as the Prairie Path. Please be mindful of other people and maintain at minimum 6 feet away from others.

Roy Strom

Refuse Collection Updates   

For the safety of Roy Strom employees, only waste that is inside a collection container or bagged and tied shut will be collected at this time. Bulk items such as mattresses, couches and construction material WILL NOT be collected until further notice. Please contact Roy Strom at customersupport@roystrom.com with any questions or concerns. 


Yellow Yard Waste Tags

Yard Waste Pickup 

Yard waste pickup has resumed as scheduled on April 1, 2020. A prepaid Yellow Yard Waste sticker must be affixed to each bag or can set out. You can purchase in store at any of these locations or online here. 

**Note if you order online, your tags will be mailed out via US Postal Mail, expect your tags to arrive within 3-5 days. 

COVID-19 Dashboard

DCHD Announces COVID-19 Dashboard

The DuPage County Health Department has announced the new COVID-19 Dashboard, an interactive map to show cases by municipality.

Please note that the exact location of patients is not made available due to privacy and HIPAA laws. You can protect yourself and your family by following the Stay at Home order and by adhering to guidelines set forth by the CDC. View the DuPage County Health Department's Dashboard here.

Shop Local 

The Village will be adhering to State restrictions prohibiting indoor dining at local restaurants. Many local establishments are posting how they will continue to operate drive-up or drive-thru service in compliance with this directive. Residents are encouraged to connect with individual locations and support local Villa Park businesses where practicable.

  • To view a list of Villa Park restaurants offer curbside pickup and delivery options, visit the Yes Villa Park website. Contact Director of Economic Development Burke, patburke@invillapark.com to have your restaurant listed. 

Please Note: Customers cannot consume alcoholic beverages if waiting for a pick up in a restaurant. The Executive Order mandates no on-site food or beverage consumption.

Coronavirus Reminders  

With the rise of confirmed cases of the Coronavirus COVID-19, the DuPage County Health Department (DCHD) wants residents to know that preventative steps are being taken at the local, state and federal levels to limit the spread of COVID-19. The DCHD is closely monitoring the fast-changing outbreak of COVID-19 and is in regular contact with and following guidance provided by the Illinois Department of Public Health and the CDC. 

Public health officials are reminded to follow everyday preventative measures: 

  • Voluntary home isolation when sick 
  • Respiratory etiquette (cover coughs & sneezes) 
  • Hand hygiene 
  • Routinely clean frequently touched surfaces and objects

Local non-profit organizations in DuPage County are looking for extra help aiding populations adversely affected by the spread of COVID-19.

If you are an able-bodied volunteer (preferably younger in age) & are willing to volunteer, please review the attached list of organizations with an increased volunteer need.
