On Saturday, September 22, the Villa Park Fire and Police Dept.'s will be hosting a National Seat Check from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Fire Station 81, located at 1440 S. Ardmore Avenue. This event is in conjunction with National Child Passenger Safety (CPS) Week and there will be CPS technicians on-hand to make sure that your child's car seat is properly installed.
This year's theme is "Think Safe, Ride Safe, Be Safe!" Come and learn the five most common types of car seat misuse and see which type of seat is right for your child. Bringing your children along is suggested so technicians can see how your child fits in the seat. Seats will be checked on a first come - first serve basis.
If you can't make it on Sep. 22, contact Villa Park Fire Dept. CPS Technician, Mary Hornback at 630-592-6099 to schedule an appointment. Appointments are available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m to 4:30 p.m.
