Money Magazine’s “Best Places to Live in America” list featured Villa Park at #28 in October 2017 highlighting points like our low crime rates, modest unemployment rates, incomes that top the state median and reasonable home prices. To read more, check out their article here.
Money Magazine again awarded Villa Park in December 2017 with #8 on the list of “Best Places in America to Raise a Family” because of our wonderful high school graduation rate, the amount of libraries within 15 miles and over 65% of our population under the age of 50. Both features also included our beautiful section of the Illinois Prairie Path, a rail trail from the 1960's, as a reason for making the lists, with easy access for cyclists and joggers alike.
Our projected 3.9% job growth, high school graduation rate of 89.0% and average commute time of 25 minutes were a few more of the deciding factors for our placement on the list.
We appeared in The Daily Herald news, where we were referred to a former "best kept secret", and on NBC 5 Chicago News for these awards.

On April 28th, we celebrated these recognitions with our Celebrate 8 & 28 Showcase which highlighted the best of our local businesses, an art contest and plenty of performances.
