In an effort to slow down the deterioration of its new asphalt pavements, the Village instituted the Asphalt Rejuvenation Program in 1986. Rejuvenating agents known as “CRF” and “Reclamite” are applied to the surface of previously resurfaced or reconstructed asphalt pavements. These rejuvenating agents help seal the small cracks in the pavement. They also help revitalize the asphalt by replacing some of the liquid ingredients that have evaporated
The Village is participating in a number of joint bidding programs this year including Sidewalk Removal and Replacement, Pavement Crack Filling, and Pavement Patching and Resurfacing.
This project consists of pavement improvements at two Village parking lots: the Community Development parking lot at 325 East North Avenue (approximately 1,150 square yards); and the Fire Station #2 parking lot at 102 West Plymouth Street (approximately 900 square yards).
