Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider CPR Class
BLS for Healthcare Provider certification is only being offered
in the blended learning format
The American Heart Assn. BLS for Healthcare Provider Course covers core material such as adult and pediatric CPR (including two-rescuer scenarios and use of the bag mask), foreign-body airway obstruction, and automated external defibrillation for healthcare professionals.

Blended learning includes an online course for cognitive learning followed by a hands-on skills session. The Blended Learning option includes an online course for cognitive learning followed by the hands-on skills session that is taught by Villa Park Fire Dept. CPR Instructors.
The hands-on skills portion is 30 minutes in length and is taught at the Villa Park Fire Dept., and must be completed within 30 days after receiving the AHA online completion certificate. After the successful completion of the skills portion, students will be issued a 2-yr. certification ecard. The fee for the hands-on skills portion is $40.
