Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and CDC guidelines, the Fire Department is currently only offering the American Heart Assn. (AHA) Blended Learning option for CPR certification.
Blended learning includes an online course for cognitive learning followed by a hands-on skills session for Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider and Heartsaver CPR/AED. The Blended Learning option includes an online course for cognitive learning followed by the hands-on skills session that is taught by Villa Park Fire Dept. CPR Instructors.
The hands-on skills portion is 30 minutes in length and is taught at the Villa Park Fire Dept., and must be completed within 30 days after receiving the AHA online completion certificate. After the successful completion of the skills portion, students will be issued a 2-yr. certification ecard. The fee for the hands-on skills portion is $40. After completion of the online portion, students can register for the skills test.
