Parks & Recreation Updates

Lions park Ice Rink

Come out to Lions Park this winter for some ice skating (Weather Permitting). The rink is located in the grass area by the Community Recreation building. We have made significant improvements including a new liner for the rink to help prevent water loss and a new protective foam cover for the top edges. As a reminder, when a green flag is posted the ice is good to go for skating. When a red flag is present, the ice is unsafe and skating is prohibited. For up-to-date information, visit our Facebook page at Villa Park Parks & Recreation.

ROTARY CLUB PLAYGROUND “FISH PARK”

The playground at the intersection of Harvard Ave and Park Ave is in need of repairs.  The fish bridge and tri-totter feature at this playground has been barricaded off for safety until repairs can be made.  The Parks Department ordered replacement parts in early April of 2022 but manufacturing and supply chain issues continue to delay the arrival of these parts.  As soon as parts arrive we will work quickly to make repairs and update the website.  For additional information, questions, or concerns, please contact the Parks office at 630-834-3051.
