 Celebrating 32 years of Family Fun! Thirty-two years ago the Village of Villa Park Parks and Recreation Department hosted its first Oktoberfest celebration at Memorial Park. Families, neighbors and friends came out for the festivities including games, German food, music and even a yodeling and Bavarian pie eating contest.
Through the years, several community organizations, such as the Villa Park Chamber of Commerce, Jr. Women's Club, Kiwanis Club, Lions Club and Rotary Club, have supported "Oktoberfest." With the wonderful support of the business community, this event has grown from one to three exciting days of family fun.
Villa Park residents and many others from near and far come to look forward to our own Oktoberfest. We again thank our dedicated volunteers, geneours sponsors and all others helping out, giving the Village the opportunity to host this marvelous event. Come and join us for "Oktoberfest 2011," Friday, September 9 through Sunday, September 11 at Lions Park.
