CFL Information:
- CFLs are environmentally-friendly light bulbs that save energy.
- CFLs produce the same amount of light as incandescent bulbs, have a significantly longer life and save more energy.
- Though CFLs are more expensive than incandescent bulbs, the cost is regained in energy and replacement bulb savings.
- There are many styles of CFLs available, including bulbs with dimming capabilities.
- CFLs contain a trace amount of mercury in the bulbs so they need to be recycled properly.
- It is advisable to use CFLs in places where they cannot be easily broken, such as out of the reach of children and pets.
