CHARACTER COUNTS! in Villa Park Based on "Six Pillars of Character" CHARACTER COUNTS! is a nationwide effort to strengthen and reinforce ethical values and character in our youth. We are collaborating with the schools, churches, community organizations and businesses to implement CHARACTER COUNTS! community wide. CHARACTER COUNTS! is a community based character education program that focuses on developing and promoting good character in youth. Opportunities for character development exist, among others, in school, church, employment, recreation activities and community involvement. The Coalition meets once a month and guides the awareness, promotion and support for Character Counts! Current members of the Coalition include teachers, school administrators, Village and library staff, clergy, parents and business owners. The only qualifications are an interest in our youth!
