Construction of the actual bridge structure now consists of only a few remaining work efforts, including the installation of parapet wall railings and fencing, the completion of some sidewalk, and the paving of the bridge approaches. Installation of the railing and fencing is awaiting the fabrication and delivery of these items, which is expected to take place in late May or early June. Crews worked this week to complete tasks in preparation for the paving of the bridge approaches. Work also continued this week on the resurfacing of the Hill Street detour route. The Village was able to add the resurfacing of other area side streets--Manor Lane, Schiller Street, and Ellsworth Avenue--to the work that is being completed on Hill Street. The work on these additional streets is being completed entirely with local funds, with costs being shared by the Village and York Township. |
