Blood Pressure Screenings

Trained paramedics are on hand to do blood pressure screenings for residents. Just stop by Station 3 at 1440 S. Ardmore Ave. or Station 2 at 102 W. Plymouth from 7:00 A.M until 9:00 P.M.
Also, paramedics are available the first Friday of every month from 11:00 A.M. until 12:00 noon for blood pressure checks at the Community Recreation Building located at 320 E. Wildwood.

CPR and First Aid Instruction

The Fire Dept. offers American Heart Assn. Heartsaver CPR/AED for the layperson and BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR Class . Classes are offered each month. All classes are taught at the Iowa Community Center, 338 N. Iowa Ave. in Villa Park by Villa Park Fire Dept. paramedics. Student receive a 2-year certification card after completion of the class.

Heartsaver CPR/AED Class - Fee $35 * full class

Heartsaver First Aid Class - Fee $45 * full class
Wed., April 26, 2012
6 - 10 p.m.
If you register for both CPR/AED and First Aid, the fee is $70.
That's a savings of $10!

Unfortunately, the Fire Department can't be called to help get your cat out of a tree or remove a raccoon from your attic, but there are places that can help you:
ABC Wildlife (630) 870-7175 can set traps to humanely remove wild animals from your home.
Willowbrook Wildlife (630) 942-6200 will take injured or abandoned wildlife.
