The Village Manager's Office administers Village government on a day-to-day basis and coordinates the operations of all the departments. The Village Manager's Office prepares agendas for regular Board meetings and researches and advises Board decision-making. The Manager executes the policies and goals of the Board and prepares an annual budget for consideration by the Village Board.

Eric's work experience encompasses over ten years of administrative experience concentrated in the municipal arena and the last eight in the role of a Finance Director. His career has provided for progressive and varying responsibilities and challenges.

Professional Background
He is currently employed as the Interim Village Manager & Finance Director for the Village of Villa Park, Illinois and prior, the Finance Director for the City of Galena, Illinois. He is also an Adjunct Faculty member at Elmhurst College teaching Governmental and Not-For-Profit Accounting at the Center for Business and Economics.

Education
His education includes receipt of a Bachelors Degree in Economics from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and a Masters Degree in Public Administration with a specialty in City Management from Northern Illinois University. He is enrolled in the Certificate of Accounting program at Louisiana State University. He received a MBA Certificate from Tulane University, and a Certificate from the Advanced Government Finance Institute at the University of Wisconsin. He also has professional Certification as a Management Accountant (CMA) through the Institute of Management Accountants and is working towards earning his CPA.
