The Finance Department incorporates a broad range of services and responsibilities over fiscal operations, which include: Accounting, Budgeting, Purchasing, Payroll, Data Processing, Billing and Collection of all Monies, Risk Management, Cash Management, Investments and Financial Reporting.

The department's objective is to ensure a high degree of financial integrity and economy to the end that services are delivered at the lowest possible cost in a courteous, efficient and professional manner to the residents and employees of the Village of Villa Park.

The Village annual audit is known as a Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR).  The audit provides information on each individual Village fund and component unit.  The Village of Villa Park has won the Government Finance Officer Association's Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for 20 consecutive years.

The Village budget is also online for review. The Village of Villa Park has won the Government Finance Officer Association's Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for 16 consecutive years. The Sugar Creek Golf Course is a joint venture of the Village of Villa Park and the Elmhurst Park District. The Sugar Creek Golf course appears as an Enterprise Fund (Fund 80) in the Elmhurst Park District Budget.
