On Monday, April 12, 2010, the Village of Villa Park Board of Trustees approved Ordinance #3602, which established a Places for Eating Tax. The rate of the tax shall be 1 ½ percent (1.5%) of the gross receipts received by the restaurant on or after June 1, 2010. The tax imposed shall be in addition to any other taxes upon the selling price of food or alcoholic beverages sold at retail.

All places of eating establishments must complete and return the registration form no later than May 15, 2010, even if you believe your business is not subject to the new tax.  The registration and tax remittance forms are available in the Village Document Center (Business Forms) under the Resident Information Menu and the Business Menu.
