Drug Take Back Program

In partnership with the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Villa Park Police Department is hosting a Drug Take Back event on Saturday, October 28 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Here, community members can bring expired or unneeded prescription medications to the police department for safe disposal. To protect your identity and personal health information, be sure to either empty pills into a zipper top plastic bag, cross off any personal information from pill bottles, or remove labels completely.

Ointments, creams, asthma inhalers, and nicotine patches are all accepted as well. Sharps (needles or lancets), epinephrine pens, narcotics (such as morphine), radioactive medicines, and medical waste are not accepted.
