The Villa Park Fire Department currently employs 24 full-time shift personnel divided into three shifts (Black, Red and Gold) who work a 24-hour shift and are off for 48 hours. All shift personnel are Certified Firefighters and Licensed Paramedics working out of two Fire Stations - Station 81 at 1440 South Ardmore and Station 82 at 102 West Plymouth. Part-time Firefighter/Paramedics work one 24-hour shift each day.
Along with providing Fire and EMS services, the department has members trained in Hazardous Materials, Technical Rescue and Swift Water Rescue. The Villa Park Fire Department is a member of Mutual Aid Box Alarm System (MABAS) Division 12 which allows for the sharing of resources between area departments and specialty teams. In 2017, the Villa Park Fire Department responded to 2,830 total calls for service of which 2,187 were Emergency Medical Services related.
